As the Co-Founder of Sparsh Ganga Abhiyan, Aarushi plays a pivotal role in shaping one of India's most impactful environmental movements dedicated to river conservation and ecological awareness.
The initiative, started in 2008, has grown into a global people's movement under her leadership, mobilizing lakhs of volunteers, driving large-scale river-cleaning campaigns, and promoting sustainable living practices.
Her consistent efforts have earned her recognition as a "River Lady" for her unwavering commitment to protecting our rivers.
Academic & Cultural Leadership
Expanding her leadership into academic and cultural spaces, Aarushi also serves as the Director of Sparsh Himalaya University, where she contributes to shaping a future-focused education aligned with sustainability and innovation.
She is also the Director at Lakshya Festival, an esteemed literary festival that celebrates Uttarakhand's literary, artistic, and dialogue in the Himalayas, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.

In the creative industry, Aarushi leads the operations at Himshri Films, where she champions storytelling that blends entertainment with social impact.

She has been associated at an international level with global organizations, including the United Nations Environment Programme, UNFCCC, UNESCO, UNICEF, and the Government of India's Namami Gange Programme.
