Growing up, Aarushi closely observed the public service journey of her father, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Education
Minister of India. Being an important part of the movement for the creation of Uttarakhand as a separate state was one of the defining moments during her journey. Aarushi witnessed her father consistently work around bringing positive change.
One of the defining moments during her journey, her father had introduced the National Education Policy after more than three decades – a milestone that reinforced her belief in the power of ideas to transform society.
Journey & Perspective
Witnessing this commitment to nation-building inspired Aarushi to find her own path to contribute to society.
Over the years, travelling to more than fifteen countries exposed her to diverse cultures and perspectives, yet also deepened her appreciation for India's rich heritage, its stories, music, art and cinema.
She realised that storytelling holds extraordinary power, and that cinema could be a medium capable of inspiring thought, building pride and influencing change across generations and geographies.
As a producer, she leads the company's story development, project packaging, production partnerships, and distribution strategy.
Under her leadership, Himshrri Films has positioned itself as a dynamic new-age studio with strong storytelling with emerging formats and global collaborations.

Growing up, Aarushi closely witnessed how leadership and policy can create real societal change through education, culture and public initiatives.
Inspired by this belief that meaningful change can reach millions through powerful narratives, she chose media and cinema as a medium to influence, inspire and tell stories that matter.
This philosophy continues to guide the company's content strategy – developing stories that are entertaining yet socially resonant, rooted in Indian ethos while appealing to global audiences.
Productions & Achievements
Under Aarushi's leadership, Himshrri Films produced the widely appreciated web series "Life Hill Gayi" for Disney+ Hotstar (now JioHotstar), which ranked among the most watched shows on the platform
The studio has also produced vertical micro-drama content such as "Lucky in Love" and "Jodi Killer" for Amazon MX Player, demonstrating its adaptability and readiness
for evolving storytelling formats and digital audiences.
Collaborations & Line Production
In addition to original productions, Himshri Films has also served as a line production and execution partner on several large-scale projects, Feature films "Badass Ravi Kumar"? "Badtameez Dil" and "Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" and digital storytelling projects such as "Kaala", "Aarya Season 3" and "11:11".

Key Project – Tarini
One of the most significant projects under development at Himshrri Films is the feature film Tarini.
The film is based on the extraordinary true story of six Indian women naval officers who completed a 254-day sailing expedition around the world.
Himshrri Films has secured exclusive rights from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, highlighting the authenticity and national importance of the story.
Through Tarini, the studio champions themes of women empowerment and courage, bringing a powerful real-life narrative to the screen.
The project is further elevated by the creative association of acclaimed voices Prasoon Joshi and Dr Kumar Vishwas, aiming to craft an inspiring cinematic experience for Indian as well as global audiences.
